In Uttarakhand, a bus carrying 14 passengers going to Nainital narrowly escaped after being hit by a landslide on Friday. According to the information, a large part of the Balianala hill adjacent to the Veerbhatti bridge on the Nainital-Jolikot-Karnprayag National Highway slipped and came on the highway. The driver stopped the bus by applying brakes at the right time.

Seeing the stones falling on the highway, there was panic among the people and they got down from the bus and started running. Several passengers also jumped from the windows of the bus. It has been raining incessantly in Uttarakhand since Thursday night. Due to which the possibility of landslides has increased in many areas in the state.

32 injured due to rock fall in Himachal
Here, a rock fell on a bus in Barotiwala of Nalagarh in Solan district of Himachal Pradesh. 32 people have been injured in this incident. All the injured have been admitted to a local hospital, where they are being treated.

Rain likely in many states
The Meteorological Department (IMD) has said that heavy to very heavy rains may occur in Uttarakhand during the next 5 days. At the same time, there is a possibility of heavy rain in Himachal Pradesh and West Uttar Pradesh on August 21. There is a possibility of good rain in Haryana, Chandigarh, Punjab and East Rajasthan for the next two days. Red alert has been issued in 11 districts of Madhya Pradesh, while yellow alert has been issued in 10 districts of Rajasthan.

According to IMD, heavy rains may occur in Northeast India, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana and Punjab till August 23. There is a possibility of intermittent rain in many areas in Bihar today and tomorrow. Light rain and thundershowers are very likely over North Delhi, North East Delhi and parts of Haryana.
