12-Year-Old Strangulates Younger Sister Over iPhone

A girl who was only 12 years old became a murderer all because of an iPhone. She strangled her 8-year-old sister after an argument. Not only that, she arranged her sister’s body on the bed in a way that made it appear she was sleeping as if to conceal the crime. When their daughter didn’t wake up in the morning, the parents discovered her death. The parents, watching the CCTV recording at home, were shocked to see that it was indeed true: her elder sister had strangled her.

Afterward, they took the body to the room and laid it on the bed. The parents reported the incident to the police, who then registered a murder case. The police arrested the accused girl and charged her with first-degree murder, alleging tampering with evidence. If convicted, the girl may face imprisonment. If convicted, authorities will detain her first in a juvenile prison until she reaches adulthood, after which she will be transferred to a regular prison.

Heartbreaking Tribute

According to media reports, the case belongs to Britain. The deceased has been identified as 8-year-old.  Reyana ‘Rey’ Smith— Hollingsworth’s mother—poured out her heart in an emotional post: “I have lost my beautiful child, whom God sent to me as His most precious gift. Now I have to stay in this crazy world without her. Never thought it would happen, and now, here I am trying to raise funds for her final rites.”

District Attorney Frederick Agee said police have recovered video of the killing that appears to show one girl strangling her 8-year-old sister. Before this crime, two sisters, who are step-sisters, engaged in a fierce fight over an iPhone. They had gone to their grandmother’s house in Humboldt for summer vacation, but their quarrel about playing games on their grandmother’s iPhone ended with one killing the other.
