Mallikarjun Kharge said – Opposition meeting tomorrow
Here, the statement of Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge has come regarding the action. Kharge said- If the voice of those who raise their voice for others is suppressed, then it is like strangling democracy. We condemn it, all parties condemn it. We will have a meeting tomorrow to discuss the strategy ahead.

What happened on August 11?

On August 11, during the discussion on the Insurance Bill, there was a lot of uproar in the Rajya Sabha. Inside the parliament, there was a fierce tussle between the female and male MPs and marshals of the opposition. On the uproar that day, Rajya Sabha Chairman and Vice President Venkaiah Naidu had said, “Whatever has happened in the House has defiled the temple of democracy.”

On the other hand, the opposition said that if any attempt is made to pass the bill, then there will be consequences. Along with this, the opposition had also accused of misbehavior with women MPs. The opposition had also submitted a memorandum to Vice President Venkaiah Naidu regarding this.

The opposition had made these allegations against the government

  • Congress leader Rahul Gandhi said that we raised the issue of Pegasus. We were not allowed to speak in Parliament. For the first time in the Rajya Sabha, MPs were beaten up.
  • NCP leader Praful Patel said that he had never seen such a shameful incident in his parliamentary life.
  • SP leader Vishambar Nishad said that our women MPs were thrashed.
  • RJD leader Manoj Jha said that the Insurance Bill was not passed by Parliament, Martial Law has passed it.
  • DMK said- Never seen such a picture of Parliament. Our women MPs were dragged.

8 Union Ministers did PC to answer the opposition
On August 11, in the afternoon, 8 ministers of the government held a press conference and responded sequentially to each and every charge of the opposition. In the press conference, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi, Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur, Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal, besides Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi, Dharmendra Pradhan, Anurag Thakur, Arjun Meghwal and V Muraleedharan i.e. 8 ministers responded for 48 minutes.

8 major attacks on the government’s opposition in 48 minutes

  1. The undemocratic and violent behavior of the opposition during the Monsoon Session in Parliament wrote the story of a dark chapter in Indian democracy.
  2. The government on several occasions sent a proposal to the opposition for discussion, but every time our appeal was not heard.
  3. The opposition had no interest in the discussion and had already decided that Parliament was to be disrupted.
  4. The misbehavior of opposition members is shameful for the parliamentary history of India and they must apologize to the country for this.
  5. Demand strict action against opposition for shameful and disruptive behaviour.
  6. The whole country has seen the drama of the opposition in Parliament. The opposition is unable to digest that the country has accepted defeat from them. Condemn my way or highway thinking. The country also condemns such thinking.
  7. Rahul Gandhi says that this is the murder of democracy in the country. The nation is watching what they did in Parliament. If he has even the slightest sense of responsibility, then he should apologize to the country. The Chairman should also take strict action on this so that such actions are not repeated.
  8. The opposition did not care about the general public and the tax payers. Instead of shedding crocodile tears, the opposition should apologize to the country.

Tough statements of 3 ministers of the government

1. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi had said- We had sought cooperation from the opposition. We had also asked for help to pass the bill, we wanted the Parliament to run more, but it did not happen. Rahul, who talks of killing democracy, should apologize to the country. They know what they have done. The MPs created a ruckus by climbing the table. Women marshals were injured. The agenda of the opposition was to create a ruckus.

2. Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal had said- The opposition has lowered the dignity of the house. When a minister is answering, the answer was snatched from his hands. When the opposition was asked to apologize, that too was refused. Tried to forcefully enter the well.

When the marshal was called, he was thrashed. The glass was broken and this mirror was felt by the female marshal. He’s hurt and that’s sad. A rule book was thrown towards the chair. Had someone been on the chair, he would have been badly injured. This was an attack. Now the opposition is making baseless allegations so that it can deviate from the issue and action is not taken on it.

3. Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur had said- Spreading anarchy from road to Parliament has been the only agenda of the opposition during the monsoon session. People kept waiting that their issues would be raised in Parliament, yet the same chaotic attitude of the opposition continued. The opposition does not care about the people, the tax payers. Whatever happened is condemnable.

Instead of shedding crocodile tears, the opposition should apologize to the entire country. The Prime Minister had asked the new ministers to go to the Rajya Sabha and listen carefully to the debate there. We came to know from the new ministers that dancing was being done on the tables, they were asking if there is any other use for these tables?
