11 trends Flipkart expects from smartphones in 2022

Smartphone sales in India remain strong amid the pandemic, as demand for all-in-one, affordable computing devices remains high. 1. The company expects 2022 to be a “year of breakthrough for budget smartphones” as more advanced chipsets enter the market. Notably, older and more powerful chipsets will also start appearing in budget smartphones. “The new generation of 5nm chipsets will be widely used. To make smartphones faster and more powerful,” expects Flipkart.

2. More 5G phones will come in the budget segment. Last year, brands like Realme, Samsung and Xiaomi started offering affordable 5G phones. In 2022, we may see more devices in the Rs 10-15K segment.

3. Phones with AMOLED displays are expected to grow. The display panel offers vivid colors and deep blacks.

4. Similarly, Flipkart expects gaming phones to become more common this year. Smartphone markers can detect high refresh rates, physical buttons, and attachable modes.

5. Recording video in 8K is still not very common; However, it won’t take long for this video resolution to become the standard. It is being said that the next iPhone series can support 8K video recording technology.

6. Similarly, battery technology can also see a huge improvement. We are already seeing smartphones with 120W fast charging support that can charge the battery in less than 20 minutes.

10. Additionally, we can start seeing phones under Rs 30,000 with technologies like optical image stabilization and 144Hz display.

11. “With features including bokeh effect in a budget-friendly smartphone, the premium experience will now become more affordable and accessible,” expects Flipkart.
