Ludhiana: Eleven residents tested positive for Covid-19 in Ludhiana on Wednesday. No death was reported that day.
Civil surgeon Dr Kiran Ahluwalia said the toll tally in the district is 2,093 and that of outsiders is 1,047.
So far 19,76,730 people have been screened.
Of the eleven new cases, four were from OPD, one from flu corner, one from ANC, one pre-operative case, two health workers and two from tracing process. A patient from outside Ludhiana also tested positive here.
Officials of the local health department said that the number of infected in the district is 87,284 and the number of outsiders is 11,605.
So far 85,137 patients have been cured, which is 97.54% of the total cases.
There are 54 active cases. On that day, 9,155 samples were collected.
Four patients are on ventilator. Two of them are from Ludhiana.
