Manvi, the victim, was captured in a widely shared video on social media cutting the cake and celebrating with her family just hours before her death. According to her grandfather Harban Lal, she cut the cake around 7 PM on March 24, and by 10 PM the same night, the entire family fell ill. He mentioned that the sisters began vomiting shortly after. He recounted that Manvi expressed extreme thirst and complained of dryness in her mouth, asking for water. Later, she went to sleep, he added.

Family Took Her To Hospital In Punjab

The family took her to a hospital the following morning as her health worsened. According to Harban Lal, she received oxygen support and underwent an ECG (electrocardiogram) to record her heart’s electrical activity. However, despite their efforts, they were unable to save her. He mentioned that she was pronounced dead shortly afterward.

The family has accused the bakery owner of including a poisonous substance in the chocolate cake ordered from ‘Cake Kanha’. Authorities have filed a First Information Report (FIR) against the bakery owner. They stated, “The body has undergone postmortem examination. A sample from the cake has been forwarded for testing. We are awaiting the results.”
