Lucknow: Ten new dengue cases were reported from Indiranagar, Chinhat, Aliganj, NK Road areas on Sunday.
Meanwhile, one person tested COVID-19 positive in the last 24 hours, while four patients were cured in the same period, taking the active cases to 13.
Three women and a juvenile are among the fresh cases of dengue. Health officials said that the condition of all the patients is stable and they are recovering at home.
“If water is allowed to stagnate in or near homes for two days, favorable conditions are created for the breeding of mosquitoes. Hence, people should take precautions,” said a senior health official.
, Meanwhile, three Zika patients out of the total six reported so far in the city were cured on Sunday. Chief Medical Officer Dr Manoj Aggarwal said, “The latest test reports of these three patients have come back negative for Zika.”
