10 cylinder blast in Lahore’s Barkat Market: Report

Reports in Pakistani media said that at least 10 cylinders exploded in a few minutes in the busy Barkat Market area of ​​Lahore.

According to local media reports, multiple cylinder explosions took place in Barkat Market area in Lahore, Pakistan on Tuesday afternoon.

Eyewitnesses told Arya News that at least 10 gas cylinders exploded one after the other in a few minutes in the busy neighbourhood. Several vehicles and shops were damaged in the blasts.

Police have cordoned off the area and rescue work is on. Though there is no official word yet on the casualties, the injured have been shifted to Sheikh Zayed Hospital for treatment.

Videos of the incident shared on social media show back-to-back explosions, blazing flames and thick clouds of black smoke.

This explosion happened last week after a major explosion near Terrorist Hafiz Saeed’s residence in Jauhar Town. Three people were killed and 20 others were injured in the attack.
