The Chandigarh-Manali National Highway (NH) at Pandoh in Himachal will be closed intermittently during the day today. Blasting will be done to break the big stones that fell five days back on the NH. At the same time, this time the state has received 20 percent more rainfall than normal during the month of June. After six years, more rainfall than normal was recorded in the state in June. Solan district has received 84 percent more rainfall than normal and Mandi district has received 69 percent more rainfall.

Compared to the normal rainfall, Mandi has received maximum rainfall of 289.4 mm, Solan 252.6 mm, Sirmaur 229.8 mm and Kangra 207.2 mm. Within 24 hours, Katola in Mandi received maximum rainfall of 164 mm.

The state receives an average rainfall of 101.1 mm from June 1 to 30. This time there has been 121.7 mm of rain. On the other hand, Lahaul Spiti district has received 66 percent less rainfall than normal. Una district has also received seven percent less rainfall than normal and Kinnaur has also received four percent less rainfall.

45 percent less rain between 28 and 30 June
Monsoon has entered the state on June 24. From this day till June 27, the state has received about 135 percent more rainfall than normal, but between June 28 and 30, it received 45 percent less rainfall than normal.

Flood in Chandrabhaga river due to snow melting
Lahaul Spiti has received only 16.1 mm of rain in the entire month. Due to this, the hot weather has remained hot in the district. This is the reason that the snow is melting fast on the high peaks of the district. Due to this, flood situation has remained in the Chandrabhaga river for seven-eight days. The land of local farmers has been submerged due to rise in water level in Jabron village of Lahaul sub-division.

Rain in low and medium altitude areas today
According to the latest forecast of the Meteorological Department, it may rain in many areas of low and medium altitude today, but rain is forecast only in a few places tomorrow. Day after tomorrow, it may rain again in more areas.

242 crore property destroyed
So far, 24 people have died due to various reasons and property worth Rs 242 crore has been destroyed due to monsoon rains in the state. Six houses were completely damaged and 41 houses were partially damaged. 35 roads in the state are lying closed for five days.
