Avalanche has occurred in Himachal. An iceberg fell from the peak of Pir Panjal in Lahaul Spiti on Friday afternoon. An iceberg fell on Rashil village in Pattan area, but there was no loss of life or property. At the same time, due to the avalanche, an atmosphere of panic has been created among the people of the area.

According to the information received, around 1 pm on Friday, an iceberg fell from the Pir Panjal hill above Rashil village in Pattan Valley. A large part of the iceberg got absorbed in the Rashil Nullah, but the snow rose from the glacier reached the nearby villages several kilometers away.

Former head of Jobarang panchayat Somdev Yoki said that there was no loss of life or property due to the falling of the iceberg. In Lahaul Spiti, the phenomenon of falling of icebergs from the mountains is common. In view of the weather pattern, the district administration has instructed people not to go to areas prone to snowfall.
