With the aim of providing 1 lakh employment opportunities in Himachal Pradesh, the cabinet sub-committee constituted under the chairmanship of Industries Minister Harshvardhan Chauhan has sought a report from the officers regarding the vacant posts in the departments within 15 days.
Along with this, information has also been sought about the proposals sent to fill the posts through Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission and Himachal Pradesh State Employees Commission. For this purpose, the first meeting of the cabinet sub-committee chaired by Industries Minister Harsh Vardhan Chauhan was held today.
Many administrative officers including Education Minister Rohit Thakur participated in it. Revenue Minister Jagat Singh Negi, a member of the sub-committee, could not attend the meeting. In an informal conversation with journalists after the meeting, Harshvardhan Chouhan said that the government will first collect information that how many posts are lying vacant in the government sector and how much burden it will put on the government exchequer by filling them. Apart from this, how many cases are pending in the court related to recruitment and how many employees will be retired from government service within 2 to 3 years.
5 lakh jobs to be given in 5 years
Industries Minister Harshvardhan Chauhan said that the Congress government has promised to provide 5 lakh jobs in 5 years. Under this, the government will give jobs to 1 lakh every year. He said that the complete blueprint will be prepared after its report is received at the departmental level. At present, 63 thousand posts are lying vacant in government departments.
The report will be placed before the cabinet
Harsh Vardhan Chouhan said that the cabinet sub-committee will submit its report to the cabinet. On the basis of this, the cabinet will give its report, after which further decision will be taken to start the recruitment process.
It is believed that in Himachal Congress has taken steps towards fulfilling its one more guarantee. The first meeting was held today under the chairmanship of Minister Harshvardhan Chauhan to provide employment to one lakh people of the state. One of the 10 guarantees of the Congress is the guarantee of providing employment to one lakh people every year. This guarantee has been approved in the first cabinet meeting of the Sukhu government.
