Results are out for all the seats in Hamirpur district of Himachal Pradesh. Sukhwinder Sukhu of Congress has won from Nadaun, Indra Dutt Lakhanpal of Congress from Barsar, Independent Ashish Sharma from Sadar seat, Rajendra Rana of Congress from Sujanpur and Suresh Kumar of Congress have won from Bhoranj.

Results are yet to come on one seat, Bhoranj. At present BJP’s Anil Dhiman is leading in Bhoranj by 18 votes. The counting of votes has been completed. Congress has applied for recounting.

On the other hand, there is a wave of happiness among the supporters of Ashish’s victory in Hamirpur. The supporters had already burst crackers. Although the official announcement is yet to be made.

71.8% voting this time

This time 71.8% polling took place in 5 assembly seats of Hamirpur district. In the 2017 elections, there was a voter turnout of 70.21 percent. This time the contribution of women was more than that of men. More than 77 percent women exercised their franchise in the district. The number of women voters in the five assembly constituencies of the district is 2,07,806, out of which 1,60,055 women voted.

Voter turnout in Bhoranj is 2.68% higher than previous elections

This time 68.55 percent voters of the area exercised their franchise in 101 polling stations of Bhoranj. Out of a total of 81,179 voters in the area, 55,650 voters cast their votes. Of these, 30,766 are women and 24,884 are male voters. In the General Elections of the year 2017, the total voting percentage in Bhoranj Assembly Constituency was 65.87 percent. This time an increase of 2.68 percent was registered in the voting here.

29 thousand women exercised their vote in Sujanpur

This time 73.96 percent polling took place in 104 polling stations of Sujanpur. Of the 73,210 voters here, 54,148 voted on November 12. These include 29,901 women and 24,247 male voters. The voter turnout was 73.93 percent in the last assembly elections. Thus the voting percentage increased by .03 percent.

53769 voters cast their vote in Hamirpur

In Hamirpur assembly constituency too, this time 2.05 percent more votes have been cast as compared to the last assembly general election. Here 71.28 percent voters exercised their franchise, while in 2017 this figure was 69.23 percent. Out of a total of 75,435 voters, 53,769 voters turned up to cast their vote on 12 November at 94 polling stations in the region. Of these, the number of women voters was 28,644 and the number of male voters was 25,124.

71.17% polling in Barsar

In Barsar Assembly Constituency also, this time voting percentage was 1.02 more as compared to last Assembly General Election. Here this time 71.17 percent voters cast their votes, while last time 70.15 percent voters exercised their franchise here. A total of 85,521 voters are registered in 111 polling stations of Barsar Assembly Constituency. Of these, 60,865 voted on 12 November. Of these, the number of women voters is 33,450, while the number of male voters is 27,415.

37 thousand women cast vote in Nadaun

On November 12, 73.91 percent voters exercised their franchise at 121 polling stations in Nadaun, the largest assembly constituency of district Hamirpur. Compared to the last assembly elections, this time the percentage of voting here was about 2 percent more. In the last assembly elections, 71.92 percent voters had cast their votes here. This time out of total 93,425 voters of Nadaun assembly constituency, 69,055 voters exercised their franchise. These include 37,294 female and 31,758 male voters.
