Before the beginning of the third day of the budget session, Smriti Irani fiercely attacked Rahul Gandhi for insulting the country abroad, being absent from Parliament and not apologizing. In a press conference, Smriti said that Rahul Gandhi’s hatred for PM Modi has now turned into hatred for the country. That’s why every Indian demands that they come to the Parliament and apologize.

However, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge said on Smriti Irani’s allegations- “I want to ask a question to the apologists. PM Modi also went to 5-6 countries where he said that taking birth in India is a sin. Freedom is being curtailed. Those speaking the truth are being jailed. If this is not the end of democracy, then what is?

Therefore the question of apologizing does not arise. We will also ask him why you went to so many countries and insulted the people here. Rahul Gandhi only talked about democracy. When people go into debate, they always state their opinion.

Smriti also made these allegations against Rahul Gandhi

  • Rahul Gandhi invoked foreign powers by visiting a country which has a history of enslaving India.
  • Tearing apart the democratic systems of India, Rahul Gandhi expressed his regret that why foreign forces do not come and attack India? His hatred for Prime Minister Narendra Modi has turned into hatred towards India.
  • He claimed that his words do not reach Indian universities and this is a sign of the death of democracy for him. I want to ask a question: In 2016, Rahul Gandhi went to JNU in Delhi and supported the slogan ‘Bharat tere tukde honge’.
  • During his visit to Britain, he had further said that democracy was being strangled. This gentleman in Jammu had said during the Bharat Jodo Yatra – All is well in India. Which was the lie, Mr. Gandhi? Your statement in India, or your statement abroad?

Rahul Gandhi should not run away from Parliament – Smriti
At the end of the conference, Smriti said – Today every Indian demands that Rahul apologize to the Parliament. Because Parliament is not just a meeting place for parliamentarians, but the collective voice of the Indian public. It is shameful that instead of coming to Parliament and apologizing for his undemocratic statement against India, Rahul Gandhi wants to disappear from Parliament.
