Former Health Minister Satyendar Jain admitted to Delhi’s Loknayak Jai Prakash Narayan Hospital has a blood clot in his head. He had slipped and fallen in the washroom of Tihar Jail on May 25. Although his condition is stable. Now the MRI report is awaited.

A four-member medical board has also been constituted for the treatment of Satyendar Jain. The committee members include senior physicians from LNJP Hospital, neurologists from GB Pant Hospital and experts in critical care.

Supreme Court granted bail for 42 days
On Friday, there was a hearing in the Supreme Court on Satyendar Jain’s bail. Where the court has given Jain bail for 42 days (6 weeks) after 360 days of arrest. Till July 11, he has got interim relief from the court. He will have to appear in court again on June 10. During the hearing, the court said – looking at Jain’s health, he should be released. During this he will not go out of Delhi.

The Supreme Court said- We allow Satyendar Jain to get treated in a private hospital. Jain will not influence any witness. He will not go out of Delhi without the permission of the court. Whatever treatment is being done during bail, its documents should be presented before the court.

Advocate Abhishek Manu Singhvi on behalf of Satyendar Jain and ASG Raju on behalf of ED presented arguments in the Supreme Court. Satyendar Jain was arrested by ED on May 31 last year.

Jain is in custody since May 31, 2022
Earlier on May 18, the Supreme Court issued a notice to the ED seeking its reply. Jain is in custody since May 31, 2022. On April 6, after the bail plea was rejected by the Delhi High Court, he appealed to the Supreme Court.

Was brought to the hospital for the third time in a week
On the morning of 25 May, AAP leader Satyendar Jain had slipped and fallen in the washroom of Tihar Jail. He was admitted to Deendayal Upadhyay Hospital in the morning. After his condition deteriorated around 12 noon, he was shifted to Loknayak Jai Prakash Narayan Hospital (LNJP) and put on oxygen support.

This was the third time in a week that Jain had been brought to the hospital. Earlier on May 22, he was taken to Safdarjung Hospital in Delhi itself. Then he had problems with his spine. On May 20 also, he was brought to Deen Dayal Hospital due to the same problem.

Money-laundering case on Satyendra Jain
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) had launched a money-laundering probe against Jain on August 24, 2017, on the basis of an FIR lodged by the CBI. From February 14, 2015 to May 31, 2017, Satyendar Jain had purchased movable properties in the name of several persons. For which they could not give a satisfactory account. Along with him, a case was also registered against Poonam Jain, Ajit Prasad Jain, Sanil Kumar Jain, Vaibhav Jain and Ankush Jain.
