The Indian stock market is seeing a decline for the sixth consecutive trading day today i.e. on Thursday (March 16). The Sensex fell 45 points to open at 57,511. Although the Nifty opened at 16,994 with a gain of 22 points. At 9.30 am, 18 out of 30 Sensex stocks were down and 12 were up.

Adani Enterprises shares fell 0.80%
Out of 10 shares of Adani Group, 6 are seeing decline and 4 are seeing gains. Shares of the group’s flagship company Adani Enterprises were down 0.80% at 9.30 am. Adani Wilmar was down 1.22%. However, shares of Adani Transmission, Ports, Power and Green Energy were trading in the green.

Mixed signals from global markets
Sentiments in global markets have improved in the hope of averting the CREDIT SUISSE crisis. DOW FUTURES is trading above 200 points from below while SGX NIFTY and Asian markets have also seen good recovery. US MARKETS also showed good recovery from lower levels in the last hour yesterday. The Dow Jones closed down 281 points. The S&P 500 also closed down 0.70% yesterday. The Nasdaq closed up just 6 points.

FIIs are selling
Foreign Institutional Investors (FII) have sold in the Indian market for the 5th consecutive day on Wednesday. FIIs sold shares worth Rs 1,271 crore in the cash market on Wednesday. On the other hand, Domestic Institutional Investors (DII) bought shares worth Rs 1,824 crore yesterday. FIIs have bought a total of Rs 8,457 crore so far this month
While DIIs have sold a total of Rs 12,294 crore.

Sensex fell 344 points on Wednesday
Earlier on Wednesday (March 15) too, there was a decline in the market. The Sensex fell 344 points to close at 57,556. The Nifty also fell 123 points, closing at 16,972. Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 21 declined and only 9 advanced. Banking stocks were at the forefront of market selling.

Crude at 15 month low
Crude is down more than 5% on concerns of a banking crisis. Crude oil has slipped more than 10% in 3 days and reached the lowest level of 15 months. Its price seems to be around $74. Brent price had slipped below $72 yesterday. Yesterday, the price of Brent was broken by more than 4%. It had fallen more than 10.50% in 3 days.
