शिवकुमार बोले-2017 में सिद्धरमैया ने प्रदर्शन से डरकर प्रोजेक्ट रोका: कर्नाटक डिप्टी CM बोले- उनकी जगह मैं होता तो प्रोजेक्ट पूरा करता

Karnataka Deputy CM DK Shivakumar has said, ‘When Siddaramaiah became the Chief Minister of Karnataka last time, he stopped a project out of fear, I would have completed it.’ Shivakumar made this statement in the Assembly on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Bengaluru’s founder Kempegowda.

He said, ‘I get many requests to construct tunnels and fly-overs. Challenges also have to be faced in many projects. In 2017, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and then Bengaluru Development Minister KJ George were intimidated by protests against steel flyovers in the city. Had I been in his place, I would not have bowed down to those who opposed me. I would have taken this project forward.

Priyank Kharge said- CM respects the views of the people
Regarding this statement of Shivakumar, Karnataka Minister Priyank Kharge said, ‘I would not say that Siddaramaiah was scared. The Chief Minister cares for the people, respects their views. Sometimes wrong things get spread and due to this good decisions have to be stopped. I think the Deputy CM also wanted to say the same.

Priyank Kharge said that I do not think that CM Siddaramaiah had stopped the project due to fear.

BJP claims – there will soon be a split in the government
This statement of Shivakumar is being seen as a estrangement between the two top leaders of the Karnataka Congress. After winning the Karnataka Assembly elections on May 13, the Congress took six days to decide on the chief minister. Both DK Shivakumar and Siddaramaiah had staked claim for the chief minister’s post. Then at the behest of the high command, Shivkumar agreed to the post of Deputy CM.

Karnataka BJP claims that now both the leaders pretend to work together, but soon everyone will see a split in the government. This government will not last long.
