Aam Aadmi Party leader Arvind Kejriwal did not attend the joint press conference after the first meeting of opposition parties in Patna on Friday. He left for Delhi even before the press conference.

After his departure, the Aam Aadmi Party issued a statement saying that the Congress should clarify its stand on the black ordinance of the Central Government, otherwise it would not attend any meeting with him.

Leaders of 15 parties were present in this meeting held at Ek Ane Marg, Chief Minister’s residence of Bihar. In the two-and-a-half-hour meeting, discussions were held on the common minimum programme, seat distribution. The next meeting of the opposition parties may be held in Shimla from July 10 to 12.

During the joint press conference at the CM’s residence, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said that the next meeting will be held soon and in this meeting it will be finalized as to who will fight from where and how.

During the press conference, Rahul Gandhi said – The foundation of India is under attack. BJP-RSS is attacking. I said in the meeting that we all stand together. There are some differences in all the parties, but they will work together. We will take forward the discussion held today in the next meeting.

Mamta Banerjee said- Nitish Kumar has organized the meeting very well. The mass movement starts from Patna itself. Several meetings were held in Delhi, but no conclusion was reached.
