Aam Aadmi Party leader Arvind Kejriwal did not attend the joint press conference after the first meeting of opposition parties in Patna on Friday. He left for Delhi even before the press conference.

After his departure, the Aam Aadmi Party issued a statement saying that the Congress should clarify its stand on the black ordinance of the Central Government, otherwise it would not attend any meeting with him.

Leaders of 15 parties were present in this meeting held at Ek Ane Marg, Chief Minister’s residence of Bihar. In the two-and-a-half-hour meeting, discussions were held on the common minimum programme, seat distribution. The next meeting of the opposition parties may be held in Shimla from July 10 to 12.

During the joint press conference at the CM’s residence, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said that the next meeting will be held soon and in this meeting it will be finalized as to who will fight from where and how.

Rahul said – some differences in all the parties
During the press conference, Rahul Gandhi said – The foundation of India is under attack. BJP-RSS is attacking. I said in the meeting that we all stand together. There are some differences in all the parties, but they will work together. We will take forward the discussion held today in the next meeting.

Mamta said – If blood has to be shed in this fight, it will be shed
Mamta Banerjee said- Nitish Kumar has organized the meeting very well. The mass movement starts from Patna itself. Several meetings were held in Delhi, but no conclusion was reached.

Three things were cleared in today’s meeting. First we are one. Second, we will fight together. Third, whatever political agenda BJP brings, we will together oppose it.

If we have to shed our blood in this fight, we will shed it. Today is a big day in history.

AAP said – it is very important to defeat the ordinance
AAP issued a statement saying that it is very important to defeat the black ordinance of the central government. Of the 15 parties involved in the Patna meeting, 12 parties have representation from the Rajya Sabha. All 11 parties, except the Congress, have supported the AAP over the Centre’s ordinance. All 11 parties have said that they will oppose it in the Rajya Sabha.

Former Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has come to Bihar for the first time.

His son Tejashwi came to receive Lalu Yadav who came to attend the meeting.

SP’s national president Akhilesh Yadav reached Patna airport at 11 am on Friday.

West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee had reached Patna on Thursday itself to attend the meeting.

Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren was the last to attend the meeting.

While the posters welcoming the opposition parties have been put up on behalf of the Grand Alliance, the BJP has put up posters taunting the opposition leaders as thugs of Hindustan. These posters have been put up outside Income Tax Golambar and BJP office.

Many types of taunts have also been tightened in the poster. For example, it was written in one poster – There is attack everywhere, all thieves will be found in Bihar’, while in another poster it is written, ‘The killers of democracy, from which mouth are they coming to JP’s land today? Do you want to impose emergency again in the country?
