There has been a new twist in the case related to the allegations of physical abuse leveled by some international wrestlers against the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) President Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh. Vinesh Phogat, one of the wrestlers who have accused the role of international wrestler Yogeshwar Dutt, has raised questions on the role of international wrestler Yogeshwar Dutt in the separate inquiry committees constituted by the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) and the Sports Ministry to investigate the matter.
Vinesh Phogat did not directly name Yogeshwar Dutt in her tweet, but indirectly referring to him, wrote that a member of both the committees probing the matter is leaking the facts of complaints related to sexual harassment of wrestlers. He came to know about this from media reports. That is why this member should be immediately removed from the inquiry committee.
Vinesh Phogat also tagged Union Sports Minister Anurag Thakur in his tweet. Notable boxer Mary Kom is the chairperson of the two separate committees formed by the IOA and the Sports Ministry. Haryana’s wrestler Yogeshwar Dutt is included in both these committees. Vinesh Phogat has already targeted Yogeshwar.

Vinesh Phogat wrote in the tweet that- I have recently come to know that a player member of the Over Site Committee is allegedly leaking the contents of the complaint of sexual harassment since yesterday. They came to know about this after reading media reports.
As a sportsperson, it is extremely disheartening to see a fellow sportsperson member of the over site committee behave in such a casual manner. His attitude towards women is evident from such behavior.
There should have been a fair investigation, feeling disappointed
He said that it is even more appalling that this player is a member of both the committees probing the allegations of sexual harassment against high-ranking officials of WFI. This has created a deep distrust of the actions of the committee.
I am disappointed by not only the lackluster, but the lack of strategic efforts from this committee member. There should have been a fair and just inquiry into the matter. I request that strict action be taken against the member for using his position in this manner and he should be removed from the committee immediately.
Member is against the interests of women from day one
Vinesh said that the concern is not limited to the action of this inquiry only, as I am sure that the former Speaker is getting the support of this member. This member has been working against the interests of women since day one.
The lack of empathy and insensitivity displayed by this player during the proceedings of the committee was shocking. I request that the matter be looked into and necessary action be taken immediately.
