Begum Haider, the 72-year-old mother of Zeeshan Haider, was rescued and brought to the civil hospital on Wednesday morning. The doctor told that Begum Haider died during treatment. Zeeshan’s wife was pulled out of the debris after 18 hours. He also died in the hospital.

The accident happened on Tuesday evening around 6:30 pm. According to DGP DS Chauhan, 14 people have been rescued so far. People who are trapped in the basement of the building. Continuous efforts are being made to give him oxygen. He has also been talked to on the phone.

The inquiry committee will submit its report in a week.

At the same time, a three-member committee has been formed on the instructions of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to investigate the matter. Lucknow Commissioner Roshan Jacob, Joint Police Commissioner Lucknow Piyush Mordia and Chief Engineer PWD Lucknow have been included in this committee. This committee will submit its report to the government in a week.

Digging was going on in the basement of the Alaya apartment on Tuesday when it collapsed. Police has detained Nawazish, son of former minister Shahid Manzoor. The building belongs to him. Alaya Apartment was built about 15 years ago. 30-35 families were living in it. At the time of construction of this building, neither the setback nor the necessary approach road was left. If LDA sources are to be believed, no map of the building has been revealed so far.

Shahjahan Bano, who worked with Honey Haider in Flat 404, was rescued after 12 hours. Shahjahan told that we were drinking tea after making it. The gas was burning. Suddenly the sound of chatter started coming from the building. The building started collapsing within 10 minutes. We were stuck in that.

Ranjana Awasthi and her daughter Aloka Awasthi, living in flat number 301 of Alaya Apartment, have been rescued. Aloka said, “Shahid Manzoor of Meerut had got the penthouse built. Shahid Manzoor was getting the pipe laying done in the basement of the building. This work was going on for the last three days. I had opposed this as well. But there was an uproar the day before.”

The rescue team cut 2 roofs of the ground floor of the apartment with a drill machine and pulled out 12 people. DM Lucknow Suryapal Gangwar told that 2 units of cylinders have been called for giving oxygen to the people trapped inside. More than 20 ambulances were present on the spot. The relatives of the family living inside the building are present on the spot.

DGP DS Chauhan told that the 3rd layer has been cleared. The fourth layer is being broken. It has been drilled. And the oxygen is being pumped down. The situation will become clear after cutting the fourth layer.
