Coordinator of Maharashtra Temple Federation said that this decision was taken in February, it has been implemented now.

Dress code has been implemented in four temples in Nagpur, Maharashtra. Maharashtra Temple Federation informed about this on Friday. He said that Gopalkrishna Temple (Dhantoli), Sankatmochan Panchmukhi Hanuman Temple (Belori-Savaner), Brihaspati Temple (Kanolibara) and Hilltop Durgamata Temple (Manavatanagar) will no longer allow entry in these temples for wearing objectionable clothes.

Purpose to protect the sanctity of temples
Sunil Ghanwat, coordinator of the Maharashtra Temple Federation, said that posters have also been put up outside the temple. In which it is written that do not come to the temple wearing objectionable clothes like torn jeans, skirts. He said that our aim is to protect the sanctity of the temples.

Dress code has been implemented in many temples in the past as well. Also said that we will request Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis to implement dress code in government-controlled temples as well.

There was an uproar over the implementation of rules in Tulja Bhavani temple
A few days ago, the Tulja Bhavani temple in Osmanabad district also tried to ban objectionable clothing. But after this decision, an uproar had started. Due to this the order had to be withdrawn within a few hours.
