This was announced by State Congress President DK Shivakumar. Priyanka told that this amount will be sent directly to the women’s account. It will be implemented under Griha Laxmi Yojana. This is the second promise from the Congress for the upcoming elections. Last week too, the party had announced to give 200 units of free electricity to all households on the launch of Prajadhwani Yatra.

The Congress said that through this scheme, it wants to provide some relief to women from the skyrocketing prices of LPG and the burden of daily expenses. Also said that Congress wants to give economic freedom to every woman of Karnataka.

Congress targeted BJP
Priyanka targeted the BJP government in this rally. He said that the BJP has pocketed Rs 1.5 lakh crore of the state by taking 40% commission. Here you have to pay bribe for everything.

Life has become very expensive here, but no one is blaming the government. That’s why the government here is drawing people’s attention in pointless controversies. He said that only a few people are benefited by BJP’s policy and these few people keep getting richer and richer.

Regarding Priyanka's arrival in Bengaluru, the state Congress put up huge posters and cut-outs of her across the city.

Siddaramaiah said – BJP did not do any program for women in Karnataka
On the other hand, Congress leader Siddaramaiah said – even though BJP is in power here for 3 years, this party has not done a single program for women. He said that ever since the Congress announced to give 200 units of free electricity to the people, since then the BJP has started the work of luring the people by giving false promises.
