Objection to giving caste code to third gender Reshma, the representative of eunuchs has objected.

Protest has started in Bihar on giving caste code to the third gender. Here he has been given the code-22. Reshma, the representative of eunuchs, said that we transgenders do not have any caste. Bihar government is giving identity to transgenders on the basis of caste, which is absolutely wrong. We are not caste. There is gender. Government should give us 1% reservation on this basis.

Reshma said that transgenders is a sexuality. Established as per the Transgenders Protective Act 2019. It is close to Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha from all places. Even after this, the government is identifying us as a caste. This act of the government is illiterate.

Remove from the column of caste and bring it to the column of gender

Reshma said that the government cannot identify the third gender as a caste. Bihar government has already given reservation ranging from 33% to 50% to women. If gender based reservation is being given on one side then why injustice on the other side? We do not accept this injustice. He has demanded the government to bring transgenders out of the caste column and bring them in the gender column.

Third gender also included in caste code list

In Bihar, it will now be known by the numbers that which caste belongs to whom. Code (22) has also been issued for third gender. Third gender will be known not by gender, but by caste. In case of third gender born in any caste, the caste will be ‘Kinnar/Kothi/Transgenders (Third Gender)’ in the caste-based calculation.

Govt acting illiterate

Reshma said that if transgenders are born in any caste, then they will be called transgenders. It is not that we come down from the sky. We are also born somewhere.
