The Bihar government reiterated the promise of providing 10 lakh jobs in the budget. Finance Minister Vijay Chaudhary announced bumper recruitments from BPSC to Police. The Finance Minister said that there will be 49 thousand vacancies in BPSC, 12 thousand in BTSC and 29 hundred in BSSC. 75 thousand appointments will be made on various posts in the police. He also talked about new recruitments in the education department.
The focus was on employment, education, health and women in the budget. This time the Finance Minister reached the assembly with a maroon colored suitcase instead of red. He demanded to give special status to Bihar.
24 thousand crore more budget has been presented than last year. Presented a budget of 2 lakh 61 thousand 885 crores in the financial year 2023-24. In the year 2022-23, the budget was 2,37,691 crores.
Budget increased 3 times in 10 years
The Finance Minister said that the size of the budget has increased three times in 10 years. Bihar’s economic growth rate was 10.98 percent. While the country’s economic growth rate was 6 percent. The condition of Bihar is very good in the country and the world. Very soon we will be on number 1. We are doing better work than other states even with limited resources. Our growth rate will always be above 10.
This is because of the schemes of the state. This has become possible because of the policies of the government. The achievements of Bihar are increasing continuously in the last 10 years. Pointing towards the BJP, he said that it is not that it was growing when they were together. If it is not there now then it is not increasing.
Vijay Chowdhary said that youth and employment have been given prominence in the budget. Apart from government jobs, the government is trying to create employment for the youth. Approval has been given for different 75,343 posts of police. In one year, 522 teachers have been appointed. The government has implemented startup policy.
The schemes of Bihar are running in the rest of the states of the country. We implemented the Nal-Jal scheme in 2016. The Center implemented it in 2019. Similarly, Aajeevika Yojana, Har Ghar Bijli Yojana, Jal-Jeevan Hariyali Yojana were also implemented by changing their names. They work by seeing us.

The Finance Minister also said that we are working without increasing the tax burden on the people, but after the implementation of GST, we are facing losses. Earlier the state government used to get its compensation as well. But, now our tax resources are limited. The revenue deficit has reduced from 11 thousand 325 to 4 thousand 422.
The Finance Minister said that Bihar will soon be at number 1 in the economic growth rate.

BJP MLAs create ruckus as soon as session proceedings begin
