1. Flood-like situation in Rajasthan’s Barmer, Sirohi and Jalore, houses filled with 4 to 5 feet of water

Due to Biparjoy, heavy rains occurred in 8 districts of Rajasthan including Barmer, Jalore, Jodhpur. Sirohi received the maximum rainfall of 38 mm while Jalore received 36 mm of rain. During this, winds were blowing at a speed of 50 to 60 kmph. The Meteorological Department has issued Red Alert in 4 districts and Orange Alert in 5 districts today for heavy rains.

Due to incessant rains since 36 hours, there is a flood-like situation in Barmer-Sirohi and Jalore. Many houses were filled with water up to 4 to 5 feet. NDRF teams were deployed in the most affected areas. Here, the Railways canceled 14 trains passing through Barmer.

2. Case reached the High Court against Adipurush, accused of making fun of gods and goddesses on the film

In the Delhi High Court, the Hindu Sena has filed a petition against the film Adipurush, demanding its ban. Petitioner Vishnu Gupta has accused the film of insulting Hindu deities. He said that unlimited dialogues have been called from the characters of God.

Here, Nepal has expressed displeasure over Sita being described as India’s daughter in the film. Kathmandu Mayor Balendra Shah said that Sita was born in Janakpur, Nepal. In such a situation, the wrong facts should be removed from the film. However, BBC sources say that the Censor Board of Nepal has muted this scene.
