Nikhat, wife of Abbas, son of mafia Mukhtar Ansari, has been arrested from a room inside Chitrakoot Jail. On an intelligence, DM-SP raided the jail and caught Nikhat. The room where Nikhat was found was locked from outside. DM-SP himself got the lock opened in front of him. Nikhat used to meet Abbas every day for 3-4 hours in jail illegally. Police has arrested Nikhat.
In this case, Jailor Santosh Kumar Pandey, Deputy Jailor Piyush Pandey and 5 jail wardens have been suspended. The suspension of Jail Superintendent Ashok Sagar was recommended to the government. Jailor of Unnao Rajeev Kumar has been given the charge of Singh Chitrakoot Jail.
Chitrakoot DM Abhishek Anand said, ‘On Friday, we had received information that sensitive prisoners lodged in the jail were meeting illegally. This was raided in the jail along with the SP. There Abbas was not found in his barrack. After this the rooms in the jail premises were searched. One of the rooms was locked from outside, when it was opened, Abbas’s wife Nikhat was found inside.”
It is being told that shortly before the raid, Abbas was removed from the room by the jail personnel. Subhaspa MLA Abbas Ansari is lodged in Chitrakoot jail since 18 November 2022 in money laundering case. He is MLA from Mau seat.

FIR against 7 including jailer, investigation to Prayagraj DIG
Chitrakoot SP Vrinda Shukla said, ‘When Nikhat was searched, two mobile phones and Saudi Arabian currency (Rial) were recovered from his bag. She told that she has come to meet. However, the register of visits in the jail did not have his signature. She had come to meet illegally.
Ragauli outpost in-charge Shyam Dev Singh has registered a case in Karvi Kotwali against Abbas, his wife Nikhat, jailer Ashok Sagar, deputy jailer Sushil Kumar, driver Niyaz, constable Jagmohan and some unknown. On the orders of the Home Department, the investigation has been handed over to DIG Jail, Prayagraj. At the same time, Abbas’s wife and her driver Niyaz were presented in the court amid tight security after medical examination. Nikhat and driver Niyaz have been sent to Chitrakoot Jail in judicial custody till February 16.

Written in the FIR – there is no restriction on Nikhat to meet Abbas
‘I was present at my post. Then the informer informed that Nikhat Bano, wife of Abbas Ansari, lodged in Chitrakoot jail, comes to the jail at 11 am for the last several days with her driver Niyaz. After spending three to four hours inside, it goes back. There is no slip or bar for Nikhat Bano to meet Abbas. Serious cases against Abbas are pending in the court.
While in Chitrakoot Jail, Abbas threatens the witnesses and officers of the case through his wife’s mobile phone. Also demands money. After this, his henchmen collect money from the people and take it to Abbas. Abbas’s wife gives all the gifts, money and allurements to the jail officers/employees.
She plans to escape Abbas from jail with the help of jail officers and staff. As soon as I came to know about this, I immediately informed the senior officers about this. After a while, at around 1 pm, DM and SP in plain uniform took me there in a private vehicle. Checking was started in the jail. Abbas Ansari’s barrack was checked, but Abbas was not found. Jail officials could not give information on enquiry.
When the DM/SSP strictly asked a jail worker, he told that Abbas was with his wife in the room next to the jailer’s office. That room was closed. When the lock of that room was opened, his wife Nikhat was present there. The policemen posted at the district jail told that a few minutes ago, a jail worker took Abbas out of that room and took him towards the barrack. On searching the belongings of Nikhat Bano, a bag was found from her.
Nikhat immediately started deleting some data from her mobile. When he was prevented from doing so, he threatened of dire consequences. He didn’t even give the password.

Nikhat’s driver also arrested
According to the outpost incharge, Nikhat’s driver was also involved in the conspiracy, he has also been arrested. Both used to provide phones to Abbas Ansari. Abbas used to threaten the witnesses in the trial from the same phone. He also used to threaten to kill them.
The trouble was increased by the statement of ‘account book’ from the officers
Abbas faces charges of money laundering, hate speech and threats. The video clip of Abbas’ speech in Paharpur area on March 3, 2022 went viral. In this, Abbas had said during a public meeting, ‘I have come after telling Akhilesh Yadav, national president of the Samajwadi Party, that there will be no transfer-posting of anyone for 6 months, brother. What is here, will remain here, first the account will be settled. After that his departure certificate will be stamped.
As soon as the video of Abbas went viral, there was panic till Lucknow. ADG Law and Order Prashant Kumar took cognizance of this and directed the officials to take action against Abbas.

There are 7 cases against Abbas in UP
Mukhtar Ansari is MLA from Subhaspa from Mau Sadar. Cases have been registered against Abbas in Ghazipur and Mau for his provocative speech. Section 186 (obstructing official work), section 189 (threatening public servant), section 153A (statements against a particular class or attempt to disturb) and section 120B (criminal conspiracy) were imposed against Abbas in the Mau case.

Bahubali Mukhtar, son and two brothers are in jail
According to Bahubali Mukhtar Ansari’s lawyer Liaquat Ali, there are more than 50 cases registered against Mukhtar in different districts of Purvanchal. About 20 of these cases are pending in the court. Out of these, a total of 4 cases are pending in Ghazipur court only. Abbas Ansari has been sent to jail by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on charges of money laundering. Abbas is in jail for the last almost 2 months. Mukhtar’s brother-in-law Sarjeel and Atif Raza are also in jail.
