Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the country’s 75th budget. Income tax exemption limit has been increased after 8 years. Now income tax will not have to be paid on earning up to Rs 7 lakh annually. Till now the income up to Rs 2.5 lakh was tax free. In his speech, the Finance Minister talked about giving allowance to 47 lakh youth for 3 years. For this ‘Pan India National Apprenticeship Scheme’ will be started.

Now LED TVs will be cheaper as the custom duty on components has been reduced from 5% to 2.5%. Mobile phones will also be cheaper as custom duty on some parts for manufacturing has been reduced. The prices of diamonds will be less. Tax on cigarettes increased by 16%, it will be expensive. Gold-silver and platinum jewelery will be costlier as custom duty has been increased.

On the other hand, India defeated New Zealand by 168 runs in the last match of the T20 series and won the series 2-1. Team India scored 234 runs losing 4 wickets in 20 overs. But the Kiwi team was all out for 66 runs in 12.1 overs. Shubman Gill scored an unbeaten 126 runs. He has broken the record of Virat Kohli’s innings of 122 runs.

Through the Agriculture Accelerator Fund, youth in villages will get a chance to start startups.

2. Avalanche in Jammu and Kashmir’s Gulmarg, 2 Polish tourists killed, 21 rescued
Two citizens of Poland were killed after being hit by an avalanche in Gulmarg, Jammu and Kashmir. 3. India’s second biggest win in T20 International, fourth consecutive series win from New Zealand

Team India defeated New Zealand by 168 runs in the third T20 match. This is India’s biggest win and New Zealand’s biggest defeat in terms of runs in T20 cricket.
