Central forces took out flag marches in several areas of Birbhum in West Bengal.
One person was killed and three injured in a crude bomb blast in West Bengal’s Murshidabad on Saturday. Police said that the blast took place in a mango orchard in Beldanga.
According to the police, a person named Aleem Sheikh was badly injured in the blast. He died during treatment at the hospital. Police told that Sheikh was a history-sheeter.
Apart from this, bombs were hurled after a clash between TMC and Congress supporters at Rani Nagar in Murshidabad. There is news of three people injured in this incident.
After this incident, the Congress and the BJP accused the Trinamool of trying to vitiate the atmosphere with the help of criminals ahead of the July 8 panchayat elections.
BJP said – TMC is trying to intimidate
BJP’s National Vice President Dilip Ghosh said- TMC’s big game plan is coming out from such incidents. She wants to intimidate the candidates of other parties, so that their supporters do not go to vote.
Congress said – Trinamool gave shelter to criminals
West Bengal Pradesh Congress Committee President and Berhampur MP Adhir Ranjan Chowdhary said that the criminals who have been given shelter by the Trinamool are making bombs to create unrest ahead of the panchayat elections. We do not trust the police also, because they are not taking any action against the local level leaders of Trinamool.
TMC said – Opposition is getting bomb blasts done
TMC spokesperson Joy Prakash Majumdar said – The number of deaths and injuries due to such accidents has come down drastically since the formation of the Trinamool government in 2011. He said that there is no evidence that TMC is involved in the bomb blasts. He claimed – the opposition itself is making bombs from criminals and is leveling false allegations against us to tarnish the image of the state.
