A speeding tanker hit an auto near Chilla Mod in Jehanabad, Fatehpur. 9 people died in the accident, while 2 people are seriously injured. 8 people of the same family died
The deceased is a resident of Musanagar town under Ghatampur police station area of Kanpur Dehat district. All the deceased belong to the same family, who were going in a tempo from Moosanagar this morning to see a girl for marriage at Baradari in Jehanabad town of Fatehpur district. Among the dead are Anil (32) son Sohanlal, Yashoda Devi (28) wife Anil, Pallavi (06) daughter Anil, Luv (04) son Anil, Asrafi Lal (52) and three other relatives including the driver.
After the accident, people nearby reached the spot. Police reached the spot and sent the injured to the hospital.
Medical Superintendent of Jehanabad CHC JP Verma said that all the 11 injured were brought here after the incident. When the doctors checked everyone, 9 of them had died. 2 people were seriously injured. There was a 6 year old girl Sonia. Who had a deep injury on his head. His condition was not good. We have referred him to Kanpur Halat after first aid. There was a 55-year-old man, he has also been referred to Kanpur Halat after treatment. His arms and legs were broken.
