The Border Security Force (BSF) on Tuesday handed back two Pakistani nationals apprehended from the international border in Tarn Taran sector of Punjab. According to the information received, during the patrolling of the BSF jawans, two youths were seen coming to the Indian border. The soldiers caught both of them. Nothing objectionable has been found from both of them in the investigation.

According to the information shared by BSF, on June 5, 2023, the Kisan Guards were on patrol. Two Pak nationals came to the Indian border. The incident took place near Naushera Dhalla village in Tarn Taran district. The apprehended Pakistanis have been identified as Sabib Khan, 25, a resident of Toba Tek Singh and Mohd Chand, 21, of Shadra village, Lahore, Pakistan.

On questioning, the captured Pak nationals claimed to have inadvertently entered Indian territory. During the search nothing incriminating was found except his personal belongings and Pakistani Rupees 1000.

Decided to return after talking to officials
BSF contacted Pakistan Rangers and lodged a formal protest over the incident. BSF jawans interacted with the officers. Following orders from the authorities, both Sabib Khan and Mohd Chand were handed over to the Pakistan Rangers at around 1 am on humanitarian grounds.
