The consumer commission in Dharamshala city of Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh has given a verdict against the Tata company. The company has been accused of not giving the car bill and other documents. In such a situation, now the company will have to return the amount of Rs 2,66,095 along with 9 percent interest. Along with this, the company will also have to pay Rs 1 lakh as compensation and Rs 10,000 as litigation fees.

The court of District Consumer Commission President Hemanshu Mishra and members Narayan Thakur and Aarti Sood has given this decision. Avtar Singh resident of village Bani Tehsil Rakkar had given a complaint before the Consumer Commission. He had purchased Nano car from Ghurkadi in the year 2015. He had exchanged his old car with it for purchase of new car and had financed some amount.

Not given even after sending legal notice
Avtar said that on July 18, 2015, when the car was handed over to him, the company gave him only a gate pass and a temporary number, after which he repeatedly requested the company to give him the bill and some other documents including Form No. 22, but the company refused. did not provide the above documents. He sent a legal notice to the company on 20 July 2020, but the company did not appear before the court.

Avtar told that after this the decision was given in favor of the consumer. The company filed a petition in the State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, Shimla, on which the commission again ordered to send a fresh notice to the company. Even after sending notice to the company again, no representative of the company appeared before the court.

The complainant also paid the finance amount
On the other hand, it was revealed from the facts presented by the consumer that the consumer had also repaid the finance amount. Despite this, the relevant documents were not made available to him by the motor company. On this, after examining the facts, the commission has ordered the motor company to return the amount of Rs 2,66,095 along with 9 percent interest, along with compensation amount of Rs 1 lakh and litigation fee of Rs 10,000.
