After Kashi Vishwanath, Mahakal Lok and Mathura Corridor, now preparations are on to make Devbhoomi Corridor in Dwarka. The Government of India is going to make it the biggest spiritual center of western India. Gujarat’s biggest religious project will not only change the face of Dwarka, but Shivrajpur beach will also be developed.

The Dwarka-Porbandar-Somnath link project will also start. Porbandar is the birthplace of Sudama, while Shri Krishna left his body near Somnath. There is a plan to change the face of Shivrajpur Beach, 13 km away from Dwarka and Okha Beach, 23 km away. The work on the corridor will start from Janmashtami (6-7 September).

Temples of Dwarka will be connected on the lines of Mahakal

1. Dwarka’s unification plan On the lines of Mahakal Lok, all the temples in Dwarka from Dwarkadhish Temple to Bet Dwarka and Jyotirlinga Nageshwar will be connected. These include Dwarkadhish Temple, Rukmini-Balram Temple, Sanwaliyaji Temple, Govardhannath Temple, Mahaprabhu Baithak, Vasudev, Hanuman Temple to Narayan Temple.

2. The tree of Rishi Durvasa will change the face of Gopi Talab. There is a historical tree in the courtyard of Lakshminarayan Temple. It is said that sage Durvasa did penance here. This tree will become an attraction for the tourists. Gopi Talab will also be renovated. This is the divine place where all the gopis had merged after the Mahabharata. The soil of this pond is called Gopi Chandan.

3. Gallery will be built in Bet Dwarka Preparations are on to make Bet Dwarka Island world class. 138 crores on the first phase. There will be expenses. Many projects including Eco Tourism, Water Sports, Marine Interpretation Center, Lake Front, Dolphin Viewing Gallery will start here. A special gallery will be made to see the submerged Dwarka city.

4. Development of 9 Ghats of Gomti like Assi Ghat of Kashi from Nishpap Kund to Sangam Ghat. Sangam Ghat, i.e. where the Gomti meets the sea. A walk-way will be built along the ghats.

5. Ramsetu ‘Signature’ bridge will connect Dwarka Signature bridge connecting Okha to Bet Dwarka is being prepared. This 2320 meter long four lane bridge is called the longest cable stayed bridge in the country. Rs 870 crore is being spent on this.

6. Sound and light show on the statue of Dwarkadhish A 108 feet statue will be made in the form of Lord Dwarkadhish. It is said to be the tallest idol of Krishna. This idol will be built in Panchkui area on the banks of Gomti. Bhumi Pujan will be done on Janmashtami. There will be a sound and light show on the idol depicting the history, culture and religious significance of Dwarka.

7. Many activities including water sports, tent city in Shivrajpur Shivrajpur beach is recognized as the best sea beach in the country. It has also received the Blue Flag award. A lot of work is being done here to attract tourists. Along with water sports, a tent city is being made. 55 types of works have started including Arrival Plaza, Cycle Track, Event Ground, Amphitheatre, Fort Restoration, Life Guard Tower, Children’s Play Area.
