Tech company Apple is going to start its first official store ‘Apple BKC’ in India on Tuesday. CEO Tim Cook has reached India for the launch of the store.

He tweeted as soon as he reached Mumbai on Monday- ‘Hello, Mumbai! We can’t wait to welcome our customers to the new Apple BKC store tomorrow.’ In the tweeted photo, employees of the Mumbai store are seen with Tim Cook.

Tim met Ambani and Chandrasekaran
According to reports, Tim Cook today met Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani and Tata Sons Chairman Natarajan Chandrasekaran. Tim Cook also met Mukesh Ambani’s son Akash and daughter Isha at Antilia, their residence.

Tim Cook ate vada pav with Madhuri
Cook also met Bollywood actress Madhuri Dixit Nene. Madhuri has shared a photo of this meeting on Twitter. In this, Tim Cook and Madhuri Dixit are seen eating vada pav in the restaurant. According to reports, Tim Cook may also meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Minister of State for Electronics and Information Technology Rajeev Chandrasekhar on Wednesday after the launch of the Apple Store. This store is in Ambani’s Jio World Mall
The store is opening at Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani’s Jio World Drive Mall in Bandra Kurla Complex, Mumbai. This Apple store will run entirely on solar energy, for which a dedicated solar system has been installed.

After the first Apple store, Apple’s second official store will open on April 20 in Saket, Delhi. After opening, both the stores will remain open from 11 am to 10 pm.

According to Apple, the store will have more than 100 employees, who will interact with customers in 20 languages. Along with this, Apple Store will also provide pick up service to its customers. That is, customers can order the product through the website sitting at home and then pick it up from the store.

Apple’s plan to open stores in 2021 was derailed due to the Kovid epidemic. Apple is expanding its presence in India as it has become an important market for sales and manufacturing. Along with this, Indian customers are also showing an increasing trend towards premium products.

No-entry of 22 brands near Apple Store
According to The Economic Times report, 22 competitor brands around Apple’s store in Mumbai will neither be able to open their stores nor advertise. This is part of the agreement. These include brands like Amazon, Facebook, Google, LG, Microsoft and Sony.
