The managers of the temple committee have passed orders for the devotees coming to pay obeisance to wear proper clothes keeping in mind the decorum. The temple management has imposed a strict ban on wearing awkward clothes that distract the attention of the people.

The managers of the temple have also put information about this at the main gate of the temple. A flex has been put on it and it is clearly written that all religious loving women and men should come to the temple wearing decent clothes only. The sevadars standing at the main gate of Sri Harimandir Sahib already stop those who go wearing such clothes.

Recently, the dress code was also implemented in the famous Shri Kali Mata Temple of Punjab. The practice of dress code in Hindu temples actually started from the Shri Kali Mata temple itself. At Shri Kali Mata Temple in Patiala, the managers first implemented the dress code by putting boards outside the temple.
