Senior Congress leader Jairam Ramesh said on Monday that the Government of India is following the DDLJ policy on China. Jairam explained this and also said that DDLJ policy means Deny, Distract, Lie, Justify. He tweeted- External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar is in the lead role in the central government version of DDLJ.

This reply of Jairam Ramesh has come on the statement of S. Jaishankar, in which Jaishankar while pointing towards Rahul said that some people are spreading wrong news on China.

Jairam Ramesh’s answer first
Jairam wrote in a document shared on Twitter, “The policy being followed by the Government of India on Chinese incursions in Ladakh is the DDLJ policy. The Foreign Minister’s statement on the Congress party is clearly to divert attention from the failure of the Modi government on China.” The latest revelation is that since May 2020, India has lost 25 out of 65 patrolling stations.

The fact is that there is no comparison between 1962 till now, when India fought to save its lands. After 2020, India quietly accepted China’s intrusion and also denied it in the name of disengagement. During this India lost thousands of kilometers of its land. In 2017, when Rahul Gandhi met the ambassador of China, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar made low statements against him. Can’t the leader of the opposition meet the ambassador of any country which is important in terms of trade, investment and security?

The Modi government should have been very clear on this issue from the beginning. Opposition leaders should have been taken into confidence and the issue should have been discussed in parliamentary committees. At least the main political parties should have given a detailed briefing about it.

It is surprising that S Jaishankar has said on several occasions that he has no idea why China is being so aggressive. This point of Jaishankar does not seem right when Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping are in constant contact and Modi is saying that he has a special plus one relationship with Jinping.

Foreign Minister Jaishankar said that there are some people in the opposition, who are propagating wrong news and information on the China issue by their own means.

Jaishankar had said – people are spreading false statements on China
Foreign Minister S Jaishankar had said in the media that the leaders of some political parties and people are losing faith in India on the issue of China. There are some people in the opposition, who are propagating wrong news and information on the China issue by their own means. If you ask me why those people don’t have faith and why they are misleading people, why they are spreading wrong news about China then how can I answer these questions? I know they are doing politics. They are spreading such news, which they also know to be false.

Government refuses to discuss China in Parliament
The central government said in an all-party meeting on Monday that issues related to Chinese intrusion cannot be discussed in Parliament as it is related to the security of the country. According to sources, in the all-party meeting on Monday, the Bahujan Samaj Party raised the issue of Chinese intrusion and demanded a discussion in Parliament.

However, talking to reporters, Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Prahlad Joshi said, ’27 leaders of 37 parties participated in the all-party meeting. The meeting went well. I seek the cooperation of the opposition to run the house properly. We are ready to discuss all issues.

Digvijay Singh giving a speech during the Bharat Jodo Yatra in Jammu and Kashmir on Monday.

Congress leader Digvijay Singh raised questions on the surgical strike in 2016. He had said in Jammu that the government has not yet given proof of the surgical strike. The central government talks about the surgical strike that we have killed so many people, but there is no proof.

Apart from the surgical strike, Digvijay also surrounded the Prime Minister regarding the terrorist attack in Pulwama in 2019. The Congress leader claimed that during the Pulwama attack, CRPF officers had said that the soldiers should be moved by aircraft, but the Prime Minister did not agree. Read the full news here…

Rashid Alvi said – show the video of surgical strike

Congress leader Rashid Alvi also came out in support of Digvijay Singh. He demanded the government to release the video of the surgical strike. Alvi had said that we are proud of the army, but do not trust the government. There is a discrepancy in the statements of BJP leaders on the surgical strike. The government says that we have the video of the surgical strike, so why doesn’t it release it. Read the full news here…
