The wrestlers have reached Jantar Mantar. He alleges that the Delhi Police is not registering a case against Singh on his complaint.

Against Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) chief Brij Bhushan Singh, wrestlers reached Jantar Mantar again on Sunday afternoon and started a sit-in. Seven women wrestlers have also filed a complaint against Singh at the Parliament Street police station.

Wrestlers said- It’s been 3 months, but we haven’t got justice, that’s why we are protesting again. We demand justice, FIR has not been registered yet. Earlier we were told to file an FIR, now we are going to file an FIR, so the police is not listening.

Sakshi Malik’s allegation- Delhi Police is not registering FIR

Wrestler Sakshi Malik said that we had given a complaint in the police station two days ago. But we haven’t been heard yet, nor has the FIR been registered. The complainants include seven wrestlers including a minor. After waiting for two and a half months, we have decided to go on strike again.

Sakshi said- Neither do we know whether the committees have submitted the inquiry report or not. People started calling us liars. The investigation report should be made public, but nothing is known about it as of now. You all can understand how sensitive a girl’s matter is.

Bajrang said – our patience has paid off

Bajrang Poonia said – Our strike will end only when Brij Bhushan Singh is arrested. Our patience has paid off. Two committees were formed to investigate, but nothing came out. Now there should be a CBI inquiry into this case.

Vinesh Phogat cried again at Jantar Mantar. Said- Efforts are being made to prove us a liar.

Vinesh Phogat cried again at Jantar Mantar. Said- Efforts are being made to prove us a liar.

Wrestler Vinesh Phogat said that the best players of the country have made these allegations. We are tolerating this exploitation. In 3 months neither any member of the committee picked up our phone, nor did the ministry contact anyone. It is being said again and again that the wrestlers have not given proof. Somebody take the proof of his innocence from Brij Bhushan even once. We are saying that narco test should be conducted in the entire episode.

There should also be a CBI inquiry into the case. After this whoever will be guilty. He should be punished. If we are also proved wrong in that, we will also accept the punishment. Now we will eat and sleep at Jantar Mantar only. But will rise only after taking justice. We are fighting for wrestling only. For this we will even give our lives. Even when we die, we will die at Jantar Mantar.

Players said – we are getting threats
Players said that we are getting threats from many sides. After waiting for more than 3 months, we tried to lodge a complaint in the police station, but the police officials did not listen to us. We don’t know what is happening here. We will resume our protest and sit. We are on strike at Jantar Mantar till our demands are met.

It may be noted that in January this year, wrestlers protested against Brij Bhushan Singh at Jantar Mantar and made serious allegations against him. The Olympic Association and the Sports Ministry had formed two committees to investigate the allegations. The committees said that the wrestlers who made the allegations had not given evidence.
