Two road accidents took place on the Goa-Mumbai highway on Thursday morning. 13 passengers were killed while 23 people are said to be injured when a private bus overturned near Kankavli. There were 36 people in the bus. On the other hand, 9 people died in a car and truck collision, including a 4-year-old child.
First accident: 13 people died
A private bus broke down near Kankavli on the Goa-Mumbai highway. In this accident, 4 people died on the spot, while 23 people were seriously injured. All the injured were admitted to the hospital for treatment. 9 other people died during treatment here. In this way, the death toll in the accident has gone up to 13. There were 36 people in the bus. Initial investigation revealed that the accident occurred due to loss of control of the driver.
The bus overturned due to loss of control of the driver. All the passengers aboard the bus have been taken out.
All the passengers injured in the accident have been admitted to the hospital for treatment.
Second accident: 9 people including child died
A car and a truck collided on the Mumbai-Goa highway at 5 am today. 9 people died in the accident. A 4-year-old girl has been seriously injured in the accident. He has been admitted to a nearby hospital for treatment. All of them were returning to Ratnagiri after participating in the condolence meeting on the death of their relative.
The front part of the car was shattered in the accident.
The front part of the truck has also suffered a lot in the accident.
There was a head-on collision between the car and the truck, that’s why the rear part of the car is safe.
