Pune Police has arrested a person living in Jalgaon, who used to attend government programs by pretending to be the Deputy Secretary of the Prime Minister’s Office. It may be known that one such case had come to the fore in Gujarat. A swindler named Kiran Patel was caught there who used to take advantage of government facilities by pretending to be a PMO officer.
The fake IAS officer arrested in Pune used to name himself Dr. Vinay Dev while his real name is Vasudev Nivrutti Tayde (54).
Tayde is originally from Jalgaon, Maharashtra. However, till now it is not clear why he used to do this. At present he is being interrogated.
Vasudev Nivrutti Tayde, who arrived as a guest at a program in Pune, has been arrested by the police.

According to the information received from the Maharashtra Police, recently, the inauguration ceremony of an ambulance to reach Jammu and Kashmir was organized in Pune’s NGO Borderless World Foundation’s program. Tayde had also reached this program as a government guest. During this also he had told the people present there that he is the Deputy Secretary in the Prime Minister’s Office and is doing many types of secret work of the PMO.

However, when the organizers of the event, Suhas Kadam, Viren Shah asked him some questions, they were somewhat suspicious after hearing Tayde’s answer. Viren Shah complained about this to the police. Although Tayde had left the event by the time the police arrived, his mobile number was found by the police.
When the police searched the previous records of the number, the location of the phone was mostly found in Talegaon of Jalgaon. After this, the team of Pune Crime Branch arrested Tayde from his house in Talegaon.
A case was also registered in the year 2000.
Police investigation has also revealed that 54-year-old Tayde holds B.Com and MA degrees. He used to cheat by posing as a fake officer. Investigation also revealed that in the year 2000, Dhule police had registered a case of cheating against him.
During this also, a case was registered against him for calling himself a fake officer. The police have started checking his old records to find out who all he cheated.

The accused is also knowledgeable in many languages including English-Hindi and Marathi. His body language is also like that of officers. People used to believe him even by speaking fluent English. The police is probing why he used to participate in government programs.
