The Delhi Police on Monday arrested Samark Malik (20), who ran over a three-and-a-half-year-old girl in a car. Samark is the son of Group Captain Bharat Malik of the Indian Air Force and is a student at Amity University. Delhi Police said that both the car and the driver are in their custody.
Child’s mother works in homes
On February 26, at 5.20 pm, the police received information from RML Hospital that a three-and-a-half-year-old girl had met with an accident and died before reaching the hospital. The girl’s mother works in homes in Arjan Vihar. On his complaint, the police registered an FIR against Samark under Section 279/304A of the IPC and arrested him.

The police also told that it was Samark who took the injured girl and her parents first to Delhi Cantt Hospital, DDU Hospital and then to RML Hospital, but the doctors here declared her dead. The police is investigating the matter
