At Mumbai airport, a woman raised a bomb rumor when she asked for money for extra luggage. The lady passenger was carrying two bags weighing 22 kg each. According to the rules, up to 15 kg is allowed. In such a situation, when the money was asked for the extra bag, he started a ruckus.

The age of the woman is 40 years. She lives in South Mumbai with her husband and two children. Husband is a businessman. On May 29, she was about to leave for Kolkata to meet her mother.

Refused to pay extra
She reached the SpiceJet baggage check-in counter around 5.30 pm and asked for a boarding pass. He handed over two bags for check-in. As per airline rules, one bag is allowed for domestic flights and the maximum weight allowed is 15 kg.

But the woman was carrying two bags weighing 22 kg each. The staff explained to her that her luggage was more and she would have to pay extra, but the woman refused to pay.

Not only this, the woman started fighting with the airport staff. In a statement to the police, the employee said, “I told the female passenger to calm down and tried to explain the airline rules to her.” But she was in no mood to listen and started arguing with me.

Started shouting – I have a bomb
After this, both the airport employees started talking to each other in Marathi, which further infuriated the woman. He accused them of harassing non-Marathi speakers. By then CISF Inspector Muthu Kumar reached the check-in counter. When Kumar introduced himself to the woman, she suddenly said, I have a bomb.

Dog squad called after threat
On hearing this the CISF Inspector called the dog squad. But sniffer dogs did not find anything suspicious in his bag. By then SpiceJet’s security officers and supervisors had arrived. One of them called the police.

Police registered FIR
Sahar police have registered an FIR against the woman for ‘endangering life and safety of others’. Since it was after sunset, he was not detained.

The woman was produced in a local court the next morning where she was granted bail. Sahar police said that after completion of investigation, they have filed a charge sheet in the case. Police did not reveal the identity of the woman.

Crew member assaulted in flight, passenger abused

The incident of misbehavior of the passengers had happened three days back as well. When once again the case of misbehavior with the crew member came to the fore in the Air India aircraft.
