Holi will be lit using flint stones with Vedic chanting. It is famous by the name of Holi of Singhpuri. It is said that King Bhrithari used to come to burn the Holi of Simhapuri. Since then this tradition is being followed. It is considered to be the biggest Vedic Holi.

Holika Dahan will be done in Ujjain on Monday. Along with the Mahakal temple, Holika Dahan will also be done in Simhapuri. Holi burning in Simhapuri is special in itself. Reason- The age-old Vedic tradition of lighting Holi here is being followed even today. This Holi also gives the message of saving the environment.

Brahmins living in Simhapuri, which is famous as Guru Mandali, make Kande through Veda mantras. Then Holika is prepared through these kandas. It is special that wood is not used in it. It is decorated with color and gulal. After this, during the Pradosh period, the Brahmins of the four Vedas together worship Holika with different mantras. A large number of women reach here to offer prayers. Then Holika Dahan is done with flint stones.

Pandit Rupam Joshi told that Gurjar Goud Brahmin community has been making Kanda Holi in Simhapuri for years. For this, preparations are started four months in advance and orders are placed.

King Bhrithari used to come to participate in the Holi of Sinhapuri
