Pakistan’s former Prime Minister Imran Khan was released by the Supreme Court just two days after his arrest. The court termed Khan’s arrest as illegal. Chief Justice said – We are ordering you to be released. But you have to condemn the violence that took place in the country after your arrest.

After the release, Imran said – I was treated like a criminal. I was arrested as if I am a terrorist. He will appear in the Islamabad High Court today. At the same time, Pakistan’s Home Minister Rana Sanaullah Khan said, ‘We will arrest Imran again. If he gets bail from the High Court tomorrow (May 12), we will wait for the bail to be canceled and arrest him again.

The Supreme Court has ordered that only the elected government will have control over government officials in Delhi. After this decision, Kejriwal held a press conference. He said, ‘The Prime Minister is like a father. It is the responsibility of the father to bring up all the children well, he is also our PM. All the states look at the PM like a father that if any trouble comes, he will help us.

1. Order for Imran’s release in 7 minutes, government said- Chief Justice should resign

Imran Khan’s party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) filed a petition against the arrest in the Supreme Court. The Chief Justice ordered Khan to be produced within an hour. When he appeared, ordered his release in 7 minutes. Chief Justice Umar Ata Bandial said during the hearing – No accused can be arrested from the Supreme Court, High Court or any other court.

Bandial said – You cannot insult the court. He asked Imran about his well being. On this Khan said – I was not arrested, I was abducted. Was thrashed in custody. The Supreme Court has asked Imran to be produced in the Islamabad High Court. The same High Court had legally upheld the arrest of Khan on the night of 9th May. On the other hand, Government’s spokesperson Maryam Aurangzeb said – The justice givers are troubled by Ladle’s arrest. The Chief Justice should resign.

3. Shinde will remain the Chief Minister: Supreme Court said – Speaker should decide on rebel MLAs

The Supreme Court has made it clear in its decision that the Eknath Shinde government will continue in Maharashtra. The court said that Uddhav Thackeray himself resigned before the floor test. In such a situation, the court cannot restore the old government. However, the court also said that it was wrong of the governor to ask the Uddhav government for a floor test. He did not have solid grounds to doubt the majority.

The Supreme Court said it could not disqualify Shinde and 15 other MLAs for rebelling. This right will remain with the speaker until the larger bench of the Supreme Court pronounces this decision. The Supreme Court has asked to settle it within a time limit. Now whether the Speaker will keep the issue of disqualification hanging or can retain the membership of the MLAs.

4. LG will act on the advice of Delhi government, Kejriwal’s action immediately after the decision
The Supreme Court said – Except for public order, police and land, the Lieutenant Governor will work only on the advice of the Delhi government in all other matters. The posting and transfer of officers will be done by the Delhi government. The government will not even have to take LG’s approval for every decision. The Delhi government will be able to enact laws on issues on which there are no central laws.

Kejriwal held a 15-minute press conference after the court’s decision. He announced that incompetent and corrupt officers would be removed and honest ones would be put on higher posts. Those who stop the work of the public will have to bear the fruits of their actions. Hours after the Supreme Court’s verdict, the Delhi government removed Ashish More, the secretary of the services department, from his post.

Rajasthan won in 13.1 overs by Yashasvi’s 98 not out, fastest fifty in IPL

In the 56th match of IPL, Rajasthan Royals defeated Kolkata Knight Riders by 9 wickets on the basis of explosive innings of Yashasvi Jaiswal. Batting first, KKR scored 149 runs for 8 wickets in 20 overs. In response, Jaiswal scored 98 not out off 47 balls to give RR victory in 13.1 overs.

Yashasvi scored 26 runs from the first over after hitting two sixes in the first two balls of the innings. He made big shots in the second and third over as well and completed his fifty in just 13 balls. This is the fastest fifty in IPL history.
