Aditya Thackeray, son of former Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, on Tuesday accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of inciting riots in the state. In Hyderabad’s Geetam University, he said that the definition of our Hindutva is very clear. We do not believe in BJP’s Hindutva.
He said that we do not burn people alive on what they eat. If this is the Hindutva of the BJP, then it is acceptable neither to me, nor to my father, nor to my grandfather, nor to the people of Maharashtra. The leader of the Thackeray faction said that by breaking the alliance with us in 2014, the BJP had backstabbed us.
BJP doesn’t care about Balasaheb’s ideology
Aditya said that BJP does not care about Hindus. When he broke the alliance with us, we were still Hindus. And what about Kashmiri Pandits? Why is the world’s biggest Hindutva party not speaking about Kashmiri Pandits? Even today, Kashmiri Pandits are being killed in the valley, due to which they are demanding transfer to safer places outside the valley. Aditya further said that if the BJP cared about the Hindutva ideology of my grandfather Balasaheb Thackeray, it would not have tried to destroy the party he founded.
Supreme Court’s order to build Ram temple, not the government’s
Regarding the Ram temple, Aditya Thackeray said that the Ram temple in Ayodhya is not being built because of the central government. If you think so, then you are thinking wrong. The Supreme Court has given the order to build the Ram temple, not the central government.
Eknath Shinde is not a threat to our party
Aditya was asked who among Eknath Shinde and the BJP was a bigger threat to his party. On this, Aditya said that he does not think that Eknath Shinde is a threat to his party. He further said that his party has no personal dispute with the BJP.
