In Andhra Pradesh, the case of kidnapping of wife and son of an MP has come to the fore. Kidnappers also caught the friend of the MP who went to pay the ransom. However, a few hours after receiving the complaint, the police rescued all three from the clutches of the kidnappers. The incident is of June 13.

According to news agency ANI, Visakhapatnam’s Police Commissioner CH Trivikramavarma said- On Tuesday (June 13) at 8 am, he received a call from YSR Congress Party MP MVV Satyanarayana. He told that his wife, son and his friend Venkateswarao, an auditor by profession, have been abducted.

Police said the kidnappers barged into Satyanarayan’s house on Tuesday when the MP’s son and wife were alone. The kidnappers also snatched gold and cash from Satyanarayana’s wife and kidnapped her.

After some time, auditor friend Venkateswarao reached the house of MP Satyanarayan. He saw that there was no one in the house. At the same time he got a call and was informed about the kidnapping. Kidnappers demanded ransom from him.

The kidnappers had earlier got the money transferred from the bank account of MP’s son Sharat Chandra. After this, he also demanded money from MP’s friend Venkateswara Rao. When Venkateswarao went to give him the money, he too was kidnapped.

17 teams caught the accused in a few hours
After receiving the complaint, we immediately deployed 17 teams at the city limits. Padbanbam police caught the kidnappers while they were on the run. All three have been safely rescued from their clutches. Venkateswarao and MP’s son Sarat Chandra suffered minor injuries. The police have also arrested two accused Hemant and Rajesh.

Main accused identified
Police said that the main accused in the kidnapping case has been identified. His name is Hemant Kumar. He has 12 cases registered against him including murder and kidnapping. He had come out of jail only 15 days back. There were a total of 7 kidnappers, out of which two have been arrested and a case has been registered. The search for the rest is on.
