The CNG boat rally in Varanasi is over. Along with this, the grand laser show exhibition started at Chet Singh Ghat. During this, Union Petroleum Minister Minister Hardeep Puri, Energy Minister in the state along with a convoy of all the leaders along with two cruises and hundreds of boats were present at Chet Singh Ghat. Ministers and sailors, along with the officials involved in the rally, enjoyed the grand laser light show at Chet Singh Ghat.
From here, after seeing Ganga Aarti at Dashashwamedh Ghat, the whole convoy has again reached Namo Ghat. Music programs including Shiv Stuti are being organized here.

Earlier today, the CNG boat rally which started from Namo Ghat in Ganga ended at Sant Ravidas Ghat. More than 100 CNG boats covered the long distance of 12 km in Ganga in 90 minutes. At the same time, before the rally, boating was banned on the Ganges from 1 pm to 8 pm today in Varanasi.

Second CNG terminal will be built at Ravidas Ghat
Union Petroleum Minister Hardeep Puri flagged off the CNG boat rally organized at Namo Ghat in Varanasi. During this, he said, “A second CNG terminal will be built at Ravidas Ghat on the banks of the Ganges in Varanasi. Work will be started by the Ministry of Petroleum as soon as other formalities including land are completed from the Uttar Pradesh government.”

Hardeep Puri said that the Prime Minister wanted that the boats in Varanasi should run on CNG instead of diesel. Happy to inform today that 580 boats in Varanasi have been converted to CNG.
He said, “CNG being a more efficient fuel than diesel, there are huge savings for boaters. CNG gives 18 per cent more mileage than diesel. The boating community has saved money by using it. Boats in Varanasi now run on CNG. The time will come soon when hydrogen boats will be seen running here.

90% of boats in Ganga have become CNG
For the first time a CNG boat rally is being organized in Varanasi.

There are a total of 657 registered boats in Ganga, out of which 587 have been converted to CNG. About 90 percent of the boats are running on green energy. The remaining boats will also be converted to CNG this year.

According to the officials of the Gas Authority of India Limited, which is conducting the rally, along with the boat rally, the CNG boat race of the departments related to the Petroleum Ministry is also taking place. Free CNG gas has also been given to the sailors for participating in the rally. According to municipal officials, the movement of boats from Namo Ghat to Ravidas Ghat has been stopped from 1 pm to 8 pm today. Every message given from Kashi goes to the whole world, so this time the message of green energy will be given from Ganga.
