The arrested accused have been identified as Mannu Batta (29) of village Burail, Sector 45 Chandigarh, Aman Kumar alias Vicky (29) of Panchkula, Sanjeev alias Sanju (23) of Maloya and Kaldeep alias Kimmi (26). These arrests have been made in the case registered under Section 384, 386, 120B of IPC and Section 25, 54, 59 of the Arms Act at Sector 49 police station on March 12.

Operate the gang through WhatsApp
Inspector Amanjot Singh, in-charge of Operation Cell, told that the gang used to operate from abroad through WhatsApp. They collect money from businessmen, hotels, clubs, disc owners etc.

According to the information, on March 12, the police party was patrolling near the Sports Complex in Sector 50. Meanwhile, at around 6:30 pm, a source informed the police about the serious criminal Khuda Ali Sher resident Lucky Patial and his accomplice Prince Kurali sitting in Canada and Lali living in Malaysia.

At the same time, in the coming few days, he can commit a big crime in Chandigarh. Based on this information, a case was registered at Sector 49 police station.

Taking action, the police arrested Mannu Batta on March 12 and recovered a sophisticated weapon of .32 bore, magazine, 5 cartridges and a Skoda car from his possession. After this, Aman Kumar alias Vicky, Kamaldeep alias Kimmi, Sanjeev alias Sanju were arrested on March 13. A sophisticated pistol of .30 bore and 4 cartridges were recovered from Aman. On the other hand, .32 bore sophisticated revolver from Kamaldeep alias Kimmi and .32 bore sophisticated pistol and 6 cartridges have also been recovered from Sanjeev alias Sanju.

2 cases registered against accused Mannu
Police has told that earlier in the year 2022, 2 cases of Excise Act and quarrel were registered against Mannu at Sector 34 police station. He was a 10th fail and worked as a private financier. Whereas Aman has done BSC and was running Down Town Cafe in TDI Mall, Sector 18, Kharar along with Kamaldeep and Sanjeev. Sanjeev is 10th pass. Whereas Kamaldeep is 12th pass.

Kamaldeep has confessed in police interrogation that he had planned the murder of bouncer Surjit Singh in Sector 38 in the year 2020. He is a friend of Prince who is in Canada and previously lived in Khuda Ali Sher. She had received a call from Prince a week before Surjeet’s murder. He told about two shooters, Prince had asked Kamaldeep to give them logistic support. Their names were Neeraj Gupta alias Chaska and Deepak Mann. Kamaldeep took them to the logistic support. Whereas Mukul Rana helped the shooters in doing Reiki of Surjeet.

Mukul had provided the weapons
After this, when Neeraj Chaska was caught, Kamaldeep got scared. He felt that the protest gang might kill him. He told Mukul Rana and Prince about this. In such a situation, Mukul had provided weapons to him and Sanjeev and Aman at the behest of Prince.

Used to talk on WhatsApp
Aman told in police interrogation that he is a friend of Prince and used to talk to him often on WhatsApp. He had provided him and Kamaldeep with weapons to escape from the other gang. Prince had asked Aman whether he had any connection in Jammu and Kashmir. On being asked by Aman, he told that he wanted to take revenge on the killers of Sidhu Moosewala. For this Babbu Maan and Mankirat Aulakh have to be killed. For this, big weapons like AK47 will be required. Srinagar will have to bring it.

Prince told Aman that if he had any one in Srinagar, he would provide him with weapons. Aman refuses nervously.
