Jaipur’s cold evening and the company of Javed Akhtar, the magician of words. Whoever heard Javed Akhtar in the program organized by Dainik Bhaskar, kept on listening and got immersed in the stories of his life. The occasion was Arvind Mandloi’s book ‘Jadunama, Javed Akhtar, Ek Safar’ written on him.

Read what Javed Akhtar said about his life…..

This book has been written after 4 years of hard work. I didn’t remember about many things, while I saw some pictures which were very close to my heart, but I didn’t have them. I used to read all kinds of books except course books. Every day in the library of Bhopal, he used to read books from 4 am to 6 am.

People praise about the film Sholay. Some people say that you wrote the dialogue – Kitne aadmi thi. Wow what a dialogue, but I feel embarrassed that how can someone praise so much.

There was no character of Sambha in Sholay, but later it was felt that big men keep some people around them for their praise. That’s why the character of Sambha was developed. In the film too, Gabbar asks Sambha – tell Sambha, how much money the government has given us as a reward.

One should not be proud in life. All the sorrows and deceptions that you get in life, you should consider it as a medal and attach it to your heart. Suffering comes in the share of every human being. Everyone has a package. In which sorrow, happiness are all included.

When I was 15 years old, I got my friend to write a love letter for the first time. Because my writing was not good. I do not remember what was written in the letter, but I remember the girl for whom I had written the letter. I was 15 then and the girl was 14.

During an interview, a reporter asked Shabana, Javed sahab writes such romantic things, he must be very romantic in real life too. Shabana had told him – there is no romance in even a single bone of his body. After this I explained to the reporter that the person who hangs upside down in the circus, it is not necessary that he hangs upside down even after going home.

My relation with former Prime Minister Atal Bihari cannot be described in words. When Shabana and I used to go to his house, we did not even have a security check. Atal ji had told the security people that Javed is my brother-in-law.

My relation with Dainik Bhaskar is very old, I have been associated with it since college days, when it had two editions. Then my friends used to work here. I have seen their printing press first. Since then the relationship has been built from here, now it is like my extended family.

Thanks to friend Arvind, he has brought out this book after four years of hard work. There are such things in it, which I did not even remember, there are interviews of my friends and family members, from Amitabh to Shankar Mahadevan, they have narrated their memories.

‘Only Javed Akhtar’s picture in my house’
The author of the book Arvind Mandloi said that after meeting Javed Akhtar, my life changed a lot. Happiness and prosperity came in my life only after meeting him. There is no other person’s picture in my house, only Javed Akhtar’s picture. I see that picture when I wake up in the morning. She motivates me. Had Javed Sahab not been a writer, he would have been a good lawyer today.

This is how dialogue writer became from Clapper Boy
In this program organized at Maharana Pratap Auditorium, Javed Akhtar will share the story of becoming Javed by magic. Javed Akhtar’s childhood name has been Jadoo. In the book, Javed Akhtar has shared the story of getting a job with director SM Sagar in 1965 and writing scenes in the film.

Actually he was making a film with actor Sheikh Mukhtar, in which Salim Khan was also in a romantic role. SM Sagar was not getting any dialogues. Then Javed Sahab asked him – should I give some scenes in writing? And he also showed two or three scenes in writing. He liked that scene and said – you write the dialogue. In this way, apart from being a clapper boy, Javed Saheb also became a dialogue writer.

The poem was recited to the mother at the wedding, hence the name ‘Jadu’
It is about 17 January 1945. Javed Akhtar’s father was carrying the Communist Manifesto in his hand at Kamla Hospital in Gwalior. They said to their friends – We read this in his ear. Someone reminded my father that when he married my mother Safia, he had recited a nazm, in which one line was ‘Lamha Lamha Kisi Jadoo Ka Fasana Hoga’, so why not name it Jadoo? So there my name was ‘Jadu’ for a long time… Many such stories and stories will be read in Javed Akhtar’s ‘Jadunama’ book.

‘Shahrukh is Muslim, hence Pathan’s protest’: Film critic in JLF said- Shoes market more than films, no creative mindset in Bollywood

‘Shah Rukh Khan is a Muslim, just because his film is being opposed. If they were not Muslims, this protest would not have taken place. This is a manufacturer protest, which I do not support. Personally, as a film critic, I do not believe in film censorship or censorship of any kind. There is no creative censorship anywhere in the world.

If we talk about the film business in the world, our GDP is 0.5 percent compared to the European market. The entire Bollywood industry is worth 5 thousand crores. TV and news industry is bigger than this. There is a TV market of about 80 thousand crore rupees.

There is more market for shoes than our films. This is also worth 56 thousand crores. There is no creative mindset in Bollywood. This is the reason why Bollywood is going backward. It is true that here the least money is spent on writing and creative mindset.

On the first day of the Jaipur Literature Festival (JLF) on Thursday, film critic Ajit Rai said these things in the ‘Foundation of Bollywood’ session. In the JLF organized at Hotel Clarks Amer, he termed the protest against Shahrukh’s film ‘Pathan’ as baseless. ,Read full news here,
