A joint operation was conducted by the Army and the Kashmir Police in Havoora village of Kulgam.
An encounter broke out between security forces and terrorists in Kulgam, Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday. In which a terrorist has been killed. The name of the terrorist was Adil Majeed Lone.
During the encounter, this terrorist made a video and shared it on a telegram named Al-Aqsa Media Jammu Kashmir.
In the video, terrorist Majeed has said that he is associated with the Al-Badr organization and has shot a soldier in the chest. Although the army later killed this terrorist. A pistol has also been recovered from him.
According to the Jammu and Kashmir Police, 11 terrorists have been killed in the last 15 days. 55 kg of drugs and 12 weapons have also been recovered from them.
Majeed is saying that he is a resident of Hawoora village of Kulgam.
Enhanced security helped
According to officials, the enhanced vigil based on the intelligence inputs provided by the agencies helped the security forces foil three major infiltration attempts in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kupwara sector. Due to which 11 foreign terrorists were killed and huge quantity of drugs, arms and ammunition were recovered.
Officials also said that due to the activation of new terrorists on the other side of the LoC, surveillance has been increased along the Indian border. Some parts of Kupwara have been specifically included in this.
On June 22, 2 terrorists of Lashkar were caught from Bijbahra
On June 22, the Anantnag police arrested two Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir’s Bijbahra area. Police also recovered Rs 1 lakh, 12 rounds of AK 47 bullets and a grenade from them.
