Trishaan Maini candidly discussed the challenges he faces due to his unconventional appearance and more.

Trishaan Maini rose to fame for his portrayal of Maninder in Omang Kumar’s film Sarbjit (2016). He shared the screen with Randeep Hooda, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, and Richa Chadha. Transitioning to television, he has appeared in shows like Bahot Pyar Karte Hai and Lag Jaa Gale. In a recent interview, Trishaan candidly discussed the challenges he faces due to his unconventional appearance and more.

In an interview with ETimes TV, Trishaan shared, “I have very unconventional looks. I don’t fit into any role. I don’t fit into every character. And for me to get a good role is hard. Because of my unconventional looks, I don’t fit into any regular roles. So that is a struggle for me. But that is what it is. I mean, I can’t change my look. This is the way I am. If someone wants to take me, they will. My job is to act. If I perform well, I mean, if he or she thinks that this guy deserves it, that’s their decision.”

He further revealed that facing rejections and challenges is very common in the entertainment industry. He mentions instances where he thought he had a role secured, only for things to change suddenly before filming. Trishaan accepts that these decisions are often kept private by the production team, and he usually doesn’t dwell on them too much.

Trishaan Maini left his corporate job in 2011 to pursue acting in Mumbai.

He began his journey as a model and walked for renowned designers such as Manish Malhotra, Tarun Tahiliani, and Rohit Bal. His portfolio expanded with appearances in TV commercials and print ads for global brands. Later, he honed his acting skills with Nadira Babbar’s Theatre Group, and in 2016, he made his Bollywood debut in Omang Kumar’s film Sarbjit. He has since appeared in TV series such as Gehraiyaan, Hadh, Bohot Pyaar Karte Hai, and more. He was last seen in Maniesh Om Singhania’s music video for Ja Kanhi Oar Tuu alongside Milan Singh.
