Ram Charan announces his 17th film with Sukumar. The duo will be reuniting after 6 years.
South superstar Ram Charan will soon begin work for his highly anticipated next. The untitled film, RC17, will be going on floors soon. However, prior that, the actor recently revealed that filmmaker Sukumar is coming on board for the next. The film will mark Charan and Sukumar’s 2nd film after their hit collaboration Rangasthalam which released 6 years ago.
On the auspicious ocassion of Holi, Ram announced the big news of them coming on board. The duo was seen celebrating the festival of colours as they struck a pose. The Instagram photo caption read, ‘#RC17 the force reunites @aryasukku @thisisdsp @mythriofficial’

The film’s production house took to their official X handle and wrote, “Mighty forces reunite for an earth-shattering magnum opus. Global Star @AlwaysRamCharan X The Maverick Director @aryasukku X Rockstar @ThisisDSP X @MythriOfficial X @SukumarWritings = #Raring2Conquer. #RC17 is all set to add new colours to the Indian Cinema (sic).”
While the film’s plot details haven’t been revealed, it will be reportedly releasing in the last quarter of 2025.

Meanwhile, a few days back, Ram Charan shared a couple of photos with Janhvi Kapoor as they began shooting for RC16. The film will be reportedly directed by Sana Buchhi Babu, who rose to fame with the Telugu movie ‘Uppena’. And Oscar award winner AR Rahman is going to score music for the much-awaited movie. Reportedly, the makers went through several names to pair opposite Ram Charan in the movie but finally decided to go ahead with Janhvi Kapoor.
According to the insiders, Ram Charan is going to play a dual role in the movie, whereas Janhvi Kapoor will be seen as a lady love to one character of his characters. ‘Sita Ramam’ fame Mrunalini Thakur will also act beside another character of RRR star in the movie.
