To make her day special, Karan Johar shared a priceless selfie with Rani Mukerji.

Rani Mukerji’s 46th birthday on March 21 was met with an outpouring of wishes from fans and colleagues across the entertainment industry. Among those sending heartfelt messages was close friend Karan Johar. Not only has Johar directed some of Rani Mukerji’s most iconic films, including Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna, but their bond extends beyond the screen.

To make the day special, Karan Johar shared a selfie with Rani Mukerji where they are seen pouting. He referred to themselves as the “Pout gang”. Both were seen in black outfits as they posed for the camera, seemingly for a party they attended recently.

Recently, Rani Mukerji was honoured with the Star of the Year award at the Showsha Reel Awards for her outstanding performance in Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway, with the award presented by none other than Karan Johar himself. Numerous glimpses of their camaraderie surfaced online, including photos of Johar seated next to Mukerji at the event. Additionally, a video captured Johar accompanying Rani Mukerji to the stage and presenting her with the prestigious award.

Meanwhile, last year, Rani Mukerji made an appearance on Karan Johar’s infamous talk show Koffee With Karan alongside Kajol. During the episode, Johar shared intriguing details about Mukerji’s secret wedding to Aditya Chopra. He revealed that the wedding was a clandestine affair, saying, “I had to lie to my mother, we had a release, it was 2014, April. I will never forget it, 2 States was releasing. I had to abandon my movie release, tell everybody I have an event in Manchester, for some reason made it up. But everyone was like ‘On release weekend, why are you going to Manchester?’ I was like, ‘I have to go, I have to go.’”

On the work front, Karan Johar made his comeback as a director with Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani starring Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh. Rani Mukerji was last seen in Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway.
